6. additional information about the yacht
The Vripack design office modelled the Rapsody 29 on the Swedish Petterson boats from the 1920s. However, it is wider, more comfortable, more stable and has a more powerful engine. As a semi-planing boat, it travels very smoothly through the waves thanks to its sharply cut stem. The Rapsody has a maximum speed of 17 knots.
The cruising speed is 9 knots, the engine then consumes 4-5 litres/hour, which gives a range of around 200 nm.
The boat was maintained by a bosun. Maintenance work was always carried out. The engine was serviced annually and new antifouling was applied.
